Norelo is Norman and Eloise, Magnus Hamilton’s parents, mashed into one word. They’re the inspiration behind the name and the drive behind the company, and we’re the small Glasgow team of surveyors, drone pilots and CAD technicians doing our best to work to a standard those two would approve of.
Built around one slightly stubborn idea
The name came before the business plan. Norelo is Norman and Eloise, Magnus’s mum and dad, and putting their names above the door set the bar for everything under it: work hard, do the job properly, and treat people well. It’s a useful standard to be held to, you can’t cut a corner with your parents’ names on it.
The business itself was founded to fix a familiar frustration: waiting weeks for a survey, then receiving a zip file of mystery photos. Magnus started Norelo in Glasgow believing survey data should arrive fast, organised and ready to use, drawings that open clean, models you can measure, imagery you can actually find.
Those two threads, the name and the idea, shaped everything since: we invested in the best capture kit we could get our hands on, kept every stage in-house from site to sheet, and when off-the-shelf delivery tools annoyed us enough, we built our own client portal at norelo.app. Today the same small team scans castles, flies bridges, draws tenements and maps estates across the UK and Ireland, and still answers the phone ourselves.

Control networks, checkpoints and QA on every job, accuracy is demonstrated, never assumed. If we wouldn’t build on it, we won’t issue it.
