accounted for.
Norelo turns buildings, sites and structures into survey-grade digital data — measured building surveys, topographical surveys, LiDAR and drone capture — delivered as the CAD, Revit and 3D models the AEC industry builds on.
Survey services, from site to deliverable
One team for the full reality-capture workflow — high-accuracy capture on site, then drawing and modelling in-house, so your data never gets lost in hand-off.
Drone Survey & Inspection
CAA-authorised aerial capture for roofs, façades and assets that are unsafe or impossible to reach on foot — no scaffold, no access towers.
- Roof & façade inspection
- High-level defect surveys
- Thermal & visual imagery
- Aerial mapping
- Areas of no access
Measured Building Survey
Dimensionally accurate plans and 3D records of existing buildings, produced to RICS-aligned detail and measured to IPMS area standards.
- 2D floor plans
- Elevations
- Sections
- Roof plans
- RCP
- GIA / NIA / IPMS
Topographical Survey
Detailed 3D land and site surveys, tied to Ordnance Survey grid and datum, giving design and planning teams a true, coordinated base.
- Spot levels & contours
- Drainage & utilities
- Boundaries
- Cut/fill & volumes
- Stockpile surveys
LiDAR Survey
High-density terrestrial and aerial laser scanning that captures every surface as a registered, georeferenced point cloud you can measure from.
- Terrestrial laser scanning
- Registered point clouds
- As-built records
- E57 / RCP / LAS
- Verification data
Photogrammetry
Photo-real 3D reconstruction from high-resolution imagery, controlled with survey-grade ground control for measurable, true-to-scale models.
- 3D textured meshes
- Orthophotos
- Ground control (GCPs)
- Volumetrics
- Façade & heritage detail
CAD & Revit / BIM
From raw point cloud to drawing board — scan-to-CAD and scan-to-BIM, delivered to your agreed level of detail in the formats your team works in.
- 2D CAD (DWG / DXF)
- Revit (RVT) to LOD
- BIM / IFC
- Point-cloud integration
- Drawing packages
The reality-capture workflow
A disciplined, repeatable process — quality-checked on site and tied to true coordinates before a single line is drawn.
Capture
On-site reality capture with terrestrial laser scanners, RTK drones, total stations and GNSS — georeferenced and quality-checked before we leave site.
Register & process
Scans are registered into one clean point cloud and tied to Ordnance Survey grid and datum (OSGB36 / OSTN15) for true, coordinated positioning.
Model & draught
Our technicians produce 2D CAD or Revit/BIM to your agreed level of detail — plans, sections, elevations and intelligent, data-rich 3D.
Deliver
Files arrive in your formats — DWG, RVT, IFC, E57, PDF — and live in your secure client portal for instant access, review and sharing.
Built for the AEC industry
Trusted by building consultancies, architects, engineers and contractors — including CBRE, Hollis, Turner & Townsend and Galbraith.
Architecture
Accurate existing-condition surveys and Revit base models that give design teams a reliable, fully coordinated starting point.
Building Surveying
Measured surveys, high-level drone inspections and defect data for refurbishment, dilapidations and condition reporting.
Heritage & Conservation
Non-contact laser scanning and photogrammetry that records fragile, listed fabric in millimetre detail — without ever touching it.
Infrastructure
Topographical and LiDAR surveys for roads, rail, utilities and large sites, delivered to engineering tolerances.
Your survey, live in one portal
Every Norelo client gets secure online access to their data — not a folder of files buried in an email thread. Review defects, share with your team and explore the model from any browser.
Data that drops into your workflow
We deliver in the formats your design and engineering tools already use — no conversion headaches, no locked-in software.
Precision you can build on
Surveyors, not just pilots
Qualified geospatial expertise sits behind every dataset, aligned to RICS and recognised industry standards — not just someone with a drone.
One partner, capture to CAD
We go from site to point cloud to Revit/BIM in-house, so nothing is lost between survey and drawing — and you deal with one accountable team.
Access the inaccessible
CAA-authorised drones reach roofs, heights and hazards safely — capturing data with no scaffold, no access towers and no road closures.
Built-in client portal
Your surveys, defects and 3D models, online and shareable from day one — a genuine step up from a folder of files emailed across.
Survey-grade data, at scale
A snapshot of the reality-capture work Norelo has delivered for the AEC industry across the UK and Ireland.
The people behind the data
Norelo is a close-knit team of surveyors, technicians and CAA-licensed pilots who own your project from on-site capture through to the final drawing — so the people who scan your building are the same people who model it. No outsourcing, no hand-offs.

A snapshot of why building consultancies and project managers come back to Norelo, project after project.
The photogrammetry and point cloud surveys are second to none, which is why we continue to use them time and time again. Quick turnaround, incredibly professional, and top-tier CPD sessions too.KSN Project ManagementExecutive Team
We used Norelo for drone surveys as part of a large group of building surveys. The inspection period was very short and they had no issues meeting a challenging deadline. The output quality is very good.James TaylorAssociate Director
Our consultancy regularly engages Norelo for large or tricky drone and photogrammetry surveys, saving our design team time. Very quick to respond and to deliver. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.Scott McPhersonAssociate Director
Surveys across the UK & Ireland
From our Glasgow base we mobilise nationwide across Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland — from a single building in Edinburgh, London or Manchester to a multi-site infrastructure programme spanning the country.
Good to know
What areas does Norelo cover?
We're based in Glasgow and carry out surveys across the whole of the UK and Ireland — including Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. For larger programmes we mobilise nationwide.
How accurate are your surveys?
Our terrestrial laser scanning typically achieves survey-grade accuracy in the order of a few millimetres, and topographical surveys are tied to the Ordnance Survey National Grid and datum (OSGB36 / OSTN15). The exact tolerance is agreed up front against your project's level of detail.
What file formats do you deliver?
We deliver in the formats your team already uses — 2D CAD (DWG, DXF), Revit (RVT) and open BIM (IFC), registered point clouds (E57, RCP, LAS/LAZ), 3D meshes (OBJ, FBX), orthomosaics and PDF drawings and reports.
Are you approved for commercial drone work?
Yes. Norelo holds Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Operational Authorisation for commercial drone operations, and we're SafeContractor approved and Cyber Essentials certified — so your sites and your data are covered.
How quickly can you turn a survey around?
Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the site, but fast, reactive scheduling is one of the reasons clients return to us. Tell us your deadline when you enquire and we'll be straight with you about what's achievable.
Start your project
Tell us about your site and we'll scope the right survey — and the right deliverables — usually within one working day. No obligation, no hard sell.
